FLOTZINGER 1543 HEFE-WEIZEN 0,5L

Bavarian wheat beer of Hefeweizen type, amber in color (biscuit-like), top-fermented, kellertrüb (naturally cloudy from the cellar, unfiltered). Produced by Flötzinger Brauerei Franz Steegmüller GmbH & Co. KG from Rosenheim, Upper Bavaria - an independent family brewery with a tradition since 1543, when Duke Wilhelm IV of Bavaria granted the right to brew to a brewer in Wiesengasse. The name “1543” is the very year of the brewery's founding. The recipe is an old one, with a traditional blend of malts and hops from Hallertau and Tettnang. The assortment has received the DLG Gold medal several times, and the brewery bears the motto “Dem Guten treu”.

Amber color with orange highlights and uniform cloudiness, of the kellertrüb type. Natural white, finely porous head that lasts a long time. The aroma is sweet: banana, vanilla, and caramel, linked by a hint of cloves. The taste is soft and velvety, with a pleasant carbonation: bitter orange, almonds, and a fine acidity that settles on the palate. Additionally, one can feel wheat, caramel, bread crust, ripe banana, and a very fine trace of cocoa - moderate yeast, medium sweetness. Finish with a slight malt bitterness and a rather bitter lemon, long and satisfying. It is less “spritzig” and more rustic than modern wheat beers - which gives it character. A special delicacy from Rosenheim.
